Carlos brings over twenty years of experience working in the lighting and energy efficiency industry as an engineer, salesman and manager. After working for Ruud Lighting (now Cree) as international sales manager, he took over the responsibilities of the international sales division of the former Lightolier/Genlyte group. After Philips’ acquisition of Genlyte in 2007, he completed the integration of Genlyte’s international sales force into Philips North America in the US, Mexico, Dubai and Puerto Rico.
In 2009, after leaving Philips and following his interest in sustainability, advanced building controls and new lighting technologies, he obtained the LEED AP and CEM certifications and started Alonso-Niemeyer Consulting Engineering Services to focus on the emerging energy efficiency industry.
Formerly a Program Manager with NSTAR for the Energy Efficiency Services, developing and implementing an outreach program directed to architects, mechanical and electrical engineers, lighting designers and large chiller manufacturers. Carlos area of responsibility was large new construction and served as chairman of the Massachusetts Lighting Committee in behalf of the Utilities in the State.
Currently working with New England’s most respected Lighting Manufacturer Representative organization, Reflex Lighting Group providing specification sales services in the territory.
